Museums in Amsterdam

The Anna Frank house, Van Gogh museum, Rijks museum (old masters), Hermitage Amsterdam and the Stedelijk museum (modern art) are all easily reached by tram or bicycle from Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam West.

If you're planning to visit more than 5 museums during your stay in Amsterdam or elsewhere in the Netherlands, we suggest a look at the "museum year ticket". The card is 54,90 euro and gives free access to more then 50 museums in Amsterdam and many more in the Netherlands. Single entrance fees at museums run from 7-18 euro. Visit the "museum year ticket" website for more information about participating museums. The card can be ordered online or purchased at any participating museum.

Another good option is the IAmsterdam city card, a multiple day public transport and museum/attraction card, but this one is only valid for museum in Amsterdam.

Planning to visit the Anna Frank house, van Gogh museum or RIJKS museum and don't want to stand in line for 1-1,5 hours to get into the museum. Pre-book for a specific date/time on the website of the museum.
