+ We liked everything, this accomodation is simply perfect. Rhalf and his family are lovely and they gave us a huge amount of tips and tricks to visit the city. The room and bathroom are spotless and clean, and there you’ll find many things to make your way back to the room warmer (coffee tea water sweets fruit). The bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is great. Breakfast was abundant and diversified, with fresh different things prepared every day. Hope to be back soon!

Positive Experiences: I was worried this place was too good to be true but it really is an excellent base to explore Amsterdam. The inside of the property is characterful and comfortable. You can park your car and there is a tram stop just round the corner. The rooms open straight on to a canal. Of course as it is Amsterdam there are cycle routes from the front door too. Crucially the hosts are lovely and welcoming, giving great ideas of places to visit. Breakfast is also excellent. I would 100% stay here again.

+ Rulf is a very friendly man, that will help you with all your questions according to stay in Amsterdam. I felt like I came to visit relatives. Good location: 5 minutes to tram and metro. Good view from the room to the channel.

- There are two rooms with a shared bathroom and toilet. The disadvantage is poor sound isolation between those rooms.

+ B&B Amsterdam West was a great home base for our recent trip to Amsterdam. Excellent accommodations, delicious breakfast, and a two minute walk to the tram/metro stop. Rhalf and Kitty are welcoming, engaging hosts with knowledge, suggestions, maps, etc., to get you around Amsterdam and all of the Netherlands. They make a warm and special effort to provide whatever you need to make your stay with them a home away from home, and offer great tips on how to make the most of your experience. Amsterdam is a wonderful city and staying at B&B Amsterdam West was a great enhancement to our visit.

+ The proprietors were very friendly and attentive. They made an awesome breakfast each day. We stayed in the room that has a door to an outside patio where there were ducks. That was very nice.

- It is not what you think of when you say bed and breakfast. It was actually the basement level of somebody's home as opposed to a little cottage. The main thing that I did not like about the property was that it was noisy. Not from outside but anything that you did within the house made noise. Turning over in bed made noise. Opening a door made noise. Steps creaked. Doors creaked. Finally, I had pre arranged with the owner that they would pick us up from and take us back to the airport before and after our trip. They did pick us up but said they would be unable to drive us back and suggested we take the train. I think that was a little unprofessional.

+ Ralph and Kitty were welcoming, friendly, and considerate hosts. Ralph gave us a lot of advice on arriving to visit the city, which was very helpful for our stay as we did not know at all. He gave us good tips and thanks to that we made some nice discoveries. The room was perfect: very large bed, good bed and bed linen, pretty typical decoration. The bathroom was top with plenty of things available (hygiene products, accessories, equipment). There was also a fridge, which was very useful for preparing our picnic. Our room had access to a terrace and a canal, the view was magnificent. Everything was very clean. In addition, the house was ideally located, very easy to reach by car and then close to the tram that goes downtown. Finally the breakfast was hearty and tasty with homemade preparations that changed daily. It was nice to be able to dice every morning with the hosts. For us who booked at the last minute, we were delighted.

- Absolutely nothing ! I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again Kitty and Ralph.
